That's what it'd cost me of my own money so to speak to purchase the Denon's due to my having to send my DT 990 PRO back for a refund due to faulty cable. Just wondering if the Denon's were worth the extra cash vs simply getting the Beyer's replaced. Obviously it's my decision to decide on but the only issue I have with these particular Beyers apart from the obvious is the headband clamp, I guess I'm sensitive to it. I hear this isn't an issue with the Denon's or even the non Pro Beyers.
So I was wondering the gains of the Denon D2000 vs DT 990 Pro specifically. My understanding is I'd naturally lose a little in soundstage, but only a little, and from what I've read I'd gain in bass, instrument seperation and imaging ? But what of micro detail ?
At the moment I'm using my DT 990 Pro unamped and I love the sound I must say. Especially the instrument seperation, bass and imaging, soundstage is fantastically wide too. Not too forward or laid back either.
