Hi there! My UR-40s are in storage right now 'cause the plug shorted out on them a while back, and I'm thinking that modding them to use detachable cables would be a good idea, 'cause they are really great-sounding headphones and not worth tossing out over a broken plug.
Is that a good idea, and if so, which would be a good pair of cables to use for that mod? I'd prefer something long, thick, and heavy-duty for the both the cable with the .25" plug, and the cable with the 1/8" plug, and I'd prefer to keep the stock dual-entry config.
I would seriously like to save those things from the dump.
