Headphoneus Supremus
Is an interesting IEM. The stage is nice, but it’s better to tame your expectations when it comes to soundstage. Speaking as a self-confessed soundstage addict, I can tell you that none of the IEM I have tried, even up to the fabled ones near the top of the market, sound like a concert hall or even a good pair of speakers on your desk. They always sound like a ball of sound inside or slightly around your head. Good ones can place instruments with pin point precision inside that ball.Disregarding price, is the DUNU Vulkan worth getting for something outside the typical budget category?
Some of the reviews make it sound like something really unique & interesting....a big, musical sound I guess, like you are in the middle of a giant concert hall.
But then other reviews make it sound like nothing special.
As far as sound quality, what level of earphone is it comparable to?
I was seconds away from purchasing it on sale last night, but couldn't pull the trigger.
Even on sale, it would be my most expensive earphone, so I want to make sure it's special & worth it.
If anything, the unboxing experience, packaging, and accessories of Vulkan would make you feel like you get something “upscale”, comparing to your existing gear in your signature.
