Eastern Electric Buffer Amp "BBA"

I picked up a BBA and can now weigh in on initial impressions after only an hour or so of listening.

I am using the Grace 902 w/ Cambridge 840 and GS1000 headphones. I might question the need for something like the BBA If someone already has a nice tube amp. Then again I fall in between the categories of Tube loving Euphonic and Solid State purist. depends on the day of the week. So why not have both.

Inital gut impression : I like it. I had detail w/ the 902 but the BBA seems to add overall density and width of soundstage. Jerry Garcia's guitar (I'm not a dead head mind you) on the CD "Garcia and Grissman" (Dave Grissman production HDCD: Welcome to Acoustic Disc Online) was defintely way outside my right ear. But it depends on the gain control setting. I did not like the gain turned down too much- it seemed to compress the soundstage. I am very curious about this little Boosta Buffa. we'll see how it goes.

More to follow
