Perhaps it is a batch with faulty ConX whose pin is not completely fixed to the connector which recedes if pushed at the moment of connection, I can't believe they are all like this also because this thread has never mentioned problems of this type. Then in my case, I disassembled it only once to switch from the MMCX to the 2 pin, I certainly won't risk it again by trying with the other five Signature series that I own. I also sent it back directly to Effect Audio (44 euros) and I hope everything goes well, especially regarding customs on the return. Finger crossed...Interesting, as I was in the same situation with my Fusion 1 lately bought via hifi-go too. In my case hifi-go offered me to send the cable back to their warehouse so that they would proceed it to EA.
I then also contacted EA and after some chatting finally sent it directly to their customer care address given on their hp
https://www.effectaudio.com/
The cable has been delivered meanwhile. Now waiting for the result of their inspection and the return....

a quick question on the TermX adapter. For iPhone 15, can I use USB Type C terminator ( CS46l41 chip), or Effect Audio will release a new terminator for iPhone 15? I currently have iphone 13 pro max (will upgrade to 16 this year), and I am wondering how it sounds with Lightning terminator? should I use those terminator or pair with FiiO DAC?

Earlier this week I posted this pic (with a short story underneath) in another thread...
Could it be just a coincidence that my two favorites of these CFA iems (both in the front row) had the best synergy (to my ears) with EA cables?
I don't think so!
Regarding the ConX system: I must say that I'm a fan, as the ConX made it possible to also try these cables on the mmcx only CFA iems. Personally I haven't experienced any issues with these connectors yet (although I can understand the frustration of those who did) and they've worked flawless for me so far...
Anyway, happy listening to all of you out there!

My Ares S cable has started to have an issue with sound dropping in the one ear I suspect it might be the mmcx connector failing any suggestions as to where to buy replacemnt mmcx I am UK.
Thanks
Thanks
Update.
I have now confirmed it is the cable and not the mmcx connector as I have another effect audio cable using the same mmcx connectors so I changes them over to those and still had the sound dropping in the one ear. Put the other effect audio cable non affected one on the iems to just confirm it was not the iem and worked fine. Surprised the cable has failed as only lightly used. Anyone know what do do with this issue?

Read what I wrote on the page before this one and look at the photo to see if what happened to me happened to you. If so, all you can do is contact Effect Audio via email and ask for assistance.Update.

So that's not the problem, have you tried moving the 4.4mm? Do you have TermX? You should understand by moving it a little where the problem is... there are three possibilities:Just checked the pins and they look fine.
Source connector
Y slider
ConX
My Ares S was delivered yesterday to Effect Audio, I hope they fix it and send it back to me without making me pay customs again. Let's hope so...

The affected side when I wiggle the mmcx connector the sound comes and goes so it could still be the pin but not recessed in so much as yours was.So that's not the problem, have you tried moving the 4.4mm? So the problem concerns the MMCX connector, I don't know if it's related to the same problem as me but in any case what you can do is contact Effect Audio by email and send it back... at least that's how I proceeded for my problem which concerns an Ares S 8W still under warranty. The strange thing is that before I proceeded to report the problem in this thread it had never been reported in five hundred pages... and now all of a sudden other similar situations seem to appear even if it is not necessarily the same type of problem who presented mine.
Not the same thing, but I had a channel imbalance issue with a brand new Eros S AE cable. The volume on the right side was way lower than the left side. Tested with different IEMs, same IEMs on opposite L/R connectors, different ConX connectors, and even different sources. Since the cable was brand new, I contacted the vendor where I bought it and they had me ship it back to confirm. Once confirmed, they sent me a replacement right away.Update.

It sounds like you've done all the troubleshooting you can so if your cable is still under the vendor's return policy or EA's warranty, just contact them for a replacement or repair.

Yep, the best sounding (April 1) cable you'll never hear!
But hey, who knows... maybe when you order 2 (or more) of those, EA might consider to give you a special 5-10% discount on that specific order?
And after that they probably would be able to retire with the entire EA team on the Bahamas => life can be goooood!
