Mmm......hopefully the Arthur/Excalibur combo is better than the Zeus XIV R/Crystal Cable Next. Am planning to get a new totl ciem/universal this 2017. On my very short list to audition is this and the upcoming Audeze iLCD3. Very interested in Arthur/Excalibur. Looking forward to impressions....just curious.....where does Arthur lie? A co-flagship of the Zeus XIV like Katana/K10 of Noble Audio?..

$3600 and only 5 days to listen. With potential for customs fees this tour better be organised through a European distributor on this side. Also, 5 days is not a sufficient time, 7 days is the absolute minimum and 10 days is better. You need 7 days to ensure that people have some time when they aren't at work to take observations and listen. You don't want people giving all bluster no muster reviews because they didn't have time to dissect the sound more than to say 'I like it.'

If you increase the time horizon and ensure that customs are covered; I'm definitely interested in hearing the Empire Ears/Effect Audio Arthur/Excalibur combo. Also, given the value of the item, I would advise that shipping should be paid by Empire Ears to ensure that any insurance claims can be handled appropriately should anything go wrong. I've never had anything go wrong on a tour--been on more than a few--but I wouldn't want to leave it to the reviewer to deal with any insurance claims.

i'm with @glassmonkey . We all love to have a listen to new stuff and talk about it and write about it , so these review tours are good for us and with a potential readership of 1.5 million forum members , good for you too.
We need more time than 5 days and your Arthur deserves it. Could you please explain the process for shipping from the UK to another European Country? I was hoping that cost could be reimbursed on receipt of a photo of the delivery slip via paypal.
We can help spread the good word for Arthur and are happy to give it a fair try. I have spoken out about Review Tour Terms and Conditions a few times now.  One manufacturer , with me being THE ONLY ONE on that thread to speak out that more time was needed (because we have to spend time with our families too) changed the timespan of the review tour. I was not successful in being part of the review team on that occasion.
I believe we help each other and we can work much better together if we see each other's needs and can meet in the middle. A compromise has to be possible. We want to listen to Arthur ; of course we do. If your succesful applicants have more time and don't bear all the costs this should be an extremely positive section of your marketing campaign, provided Effect Audio X Empire Ears have produced something special.

As someone whom listened to Arthur a day ago, I will write my full impression here soon.

I will say though it's one of the most musical sounding IEM I've listened to date until I get to try something else.

I would also request more time with the Arthur if I am chosen as one of the lucky reviewers. I hope that's a possibility?

Sorry guys! Apologies for the much delayed response, i've been out of town with limited Wifi accessibility. Seek your understanding on this matter. I've received feedbacks on the audition/demo period being insufficient, therefore, I'll speak with the management for a time extension. Shall keep you guys updated should there be any changes :)

Actually, never mind. Too many logistical questions still left unanswered. Don't want to be responsible for the shipment of something so expensive.

Hello there! What logistical questions would you have? For this Tour's mechanics, Effect Audio will undertake the cost of shipping to the reviewers worldwide, while selected reviewers would have to ship back to Effect Audio Lab (again on Effect Audio's cost) after every audition/loan period. Meanwhile, please feel free to reach out if theres further queries. Again, sorry for getting back so late.

I would love to try and be part of the review but I can imagine the shipping and insurance cost to be quite high from the UK :/

Hello Deftone, sorry for the miscommunication, i will edit the thread shortly. The shipping costs will be borne by Effect Audio :)

I would love to have a listen to the Arthurs now we have such favourable terms in the pipeline. Please consider me for one of your review team from the UK . We are passionate over here as you could tell from my post. When this passion is out anywhere near a decent set of earphones just watch the sparks fly! I am methodical in my writing and take the quality of my reviews very seriously.

$3,600 for a $2100 Zeus plus new cable. Hmm.

Hello Subhakar, essentially not the case. It is based of Zeus's 14 drivers design but a few critical alterations are done that allows the "Arthur" to portray a different sound Signature that the Zeus/Zeus R.  Jack, with his expertise has managed to sort through the multitude of configurations of copper / silver internal wirings that subtly improved and affects the signal transmission between drivers in which case, ultimately optimising the desired sound signature and performance of the "Arthur".

Whereas, the cable (Excalibur) developed for "Arthur" is based off and an upgraded version of Effect Audio's "Leonidas" and crafted in a thicker gauge - 24awg. We choose that configuration after collecting feedbacks from our global distributors and consumers prior the launch. With the Excalibur,  airiness and texture and depth is improved while adding alot more density to the sound presentation.

Would love if you guys could try it out in contrast with Zeus R / Zeus.

Heyy buddy. Yes, apologies for the miscommunications. Unfortunately, we've yet to move into the European Distribution channels yet, therefore, logistics will be handled directly with Effect Audio's HQ in Singapore. Also, cost incurred will be borne by Effect Audio.

I've noted on the time horizon. However, due to time constraints and management's decision the current tour review period remains at 5 days. However, i've been in touch with the management and trying to push for 7 days minimum. Shall keep you guys updated! :)

No thanks needed buddy. It only made sense as you peeps are only trying to help make this tour better and easier on both parties. We're always open to suggestions albeit final decisions are subjected to the Effect Audio management's approval. :)

Have a great day ahead!
