@Cykull gorgeous track I was bobbing my head the whole 6 minutes.

Thought Id pay homage to each artist that introduced me to new genres, back when I referred to all electronic music as "techno" and my whole Electro library consisted of the Electro radio station in GTA 4.

Dinka why I love progressive.

Stimming, the reason I listen to minimal.

Glenn Morrison is the reason I listen to trance.

Quote:
Tiësto has little to do with producing, it's a well known secret that others produce most of the tracks that he endorses. It's more of a fashion label then an artist. Which of course doesn't say anything about the music, but it does say a lot of the person DJ Tiësto. Armin on the other hand is a cool guy, he used to do nice broadcasts before he became a star, he seems in it for the music rather then the fame.

Also, I do not think Flying Lotus is minimalist, there is quite a lot of detail in his music. I do like the "less is more" idea quite a lot though

And just so this post contains a song, some seriously kewl atmospheric, layererd, downtempo trip hop shizzle.

I get to see him this weekend at Re:generation in Oregon, i'll make a post about how I enjoyed his live performance.  I'll try to get some video from his set as well = D

And by him I mean Emancipator ^^

The chillout and rain songs got me typing in one of my favorite downtempo songs: Strobe by Deadmau5. Amazing.

I have to include this. Slightly different, and still Amazing.

Here is a definite rain song, with an awesome fan video that pulls off the near impossible feat of giving me a pleasing and coherent music video. Much better than the official one. I fell like I am floating right now.

I love rain, especially running or biking in it, and that but that is a totally different mood than the above songs. More like this:

Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Xhin has released his debut album, Supersonicstate, as a free download from his Soundcloud. His sound back then was a lot different to what he is associated with today! I'm actually not that big a fan, I'm on track 8/9 and the only one I like so far is 5. I'm sure someone will appreciate it, though it's a bit too energetic and chaotic for my tastes =]

Since we're on the topic of Downtemp, one of my favorite artists, Nit Grit, is changing up his style a little bit.  Here is a song he just dropped today called "Euthanizing a Dream".

@Hester, That track is going to me one of my test tracks, nice.

As far sub-bass it actually doesn't extend super low, still nice though.
