Hi,

Does any of you have AKG K 480 NC headphones and tried to equalize them?

For me they sound muddy and I like to have less bass but better overall clarity. That is why I never really used them, instead kept them in a drawer... Now I thought I will experiment with EQ and see how it works out, but I couldn't find frequency response graphs for this model on the Internet. I tried with AutoEQ templates in Peace Equalizer APO for different AKG models and actually found out this one to be quite good on my K 480 NC https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/tree/master/results/referenceaudioanalyzer/referenceaudioanalyzer_hdm1_harman_over-ear_2018/AKG K450 Navy
Preamp: -6.6 dB
Filter 1: ON PK Fc 236 Hz Gain -6.6 dB Q 0.51
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 1280 Hz Gain -10.4 dB Q 1.36
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 2565 Hz Gain 3.3 dB Q 3.34
Filter 4: ON PK Fc 3983 Hz Gain 9.2 dB Q 0.08
Filter 5: ON PK Fc 4488 Hz Gain -10.6 dB Q 0.77
Filter 6: ON PK Fc 698 Hz Gain 1.7 dB Q 6.5
Filter 7: ON PK Fc 4875 Hz Gain 4.4 dB Q 5.17
Filter 8: ON PK Fc 6067 Hz Gain -6.5 dB Q 3.39
Filter 9: ON PK Fc 7326 Hz Gain 5.4 dB Q 2.23
Filter 10: ON PK Fc 8020 Hz Gain -1.1 dB Q 0.47

It is giving me much more clarity but still the bass is there, it's punchy etc. however not overwhelming the rest of the frequencies. Do you know if the characteristics of K 450 are the same as K 480 NC? Also maybe you have some recommendations on how to tweak EQ more so that it suits best these particular headphones?
