Which is better between F9 PRO or Brainwavz B400 for listening rock / melodic metal ?

I didn't own the F9 Pro before but had a F9 once and now using the B400. I would think that the F9 pro with the dynamic driver would have a more thumping bass than the B400, but this does not mean that the bass of B400 is anywhere lacking, but its perhaps more precise as it uses a BA. I don't listen to melodic rock, more of slow rock and pop. I do find the B400 sound lusher with all the 4 BA firing at the same time compared to the F9, producing more texture and a fuller sound, hence I find it more value for money.

however, due to individual preferences, you should read the professional reviews and comparisons, as well as try both out before deciding.

Hi guys,

Has anyone made a foam cut out for the plastic case to fit the earphones, like they do with Pelican cases?

The soft case is annoying to put in, and the plastic case by itself is too loose. Was going to attempt to find some foam and cut it out.

Kind of like that but on a much smaller scale.

Well guys it happened - my 20-month old F9 Pro died (well at least the right earpiece did). Of course I tried several cables to make sure it's not a cable issue.

It's weird because it came out of nowhere after babying them in their hardcase and mostly using the stock cable all this time. Frankly I expected a little more life out of a $130 product. This also makes me nervous about my FH5 set...The whole reason we buy IEMs with detachable cables is that the shells should outlast the cable. Now I have 2 good cables and one dead shell...Quite disappointing...

Im in the very situation with my FH5, after 10 months of almost daily usage (and also taking care in a bigger hardcase with extra protection for the non existant bumps they could have), the left bass speaker just died. now they are in its way to @FiiO to china (extra cost for me).
And now looking forward my next iem as im used to have just one pair for my commute.
I was used to the shure lineup (up to the se535) and now i just pull the trigger to their se846. I know its a lot of money but also appreciate their extra reliability.

Also was looking to go back and buy a f9 pro, but i had the f9 red and the treble was too much for me.

Try to contact fiio to se if they could do something (out of warranty), maybe sell you the right earbud or something.

Best hopes my friend
