Thanks for the review Brooko. You mentioned you got the best fit with the Symbio MandarinE Ear tips. Were you using the normal bore or the Wide bore ones?

Any idea why these have to ship ground from Amazon Prime? The page just says that federal regulation requires it but that doesn't make any sense. I've ordered many IEMs with the usual 2-day, including my F9Pros...

What is "driver flex"?

What is "driver flex"?

For in ears that have a dynamic driver, driver flex is when the pressure in your ear causes the driver to bend in or out or otherwise move within the IEM, usually crackling or popping slightly as pressure changes.

For example, when using the Oriveti New Primacy, the driver inside would flex back as the tip is pushed in, due to the increased pressure in the ear.

Yes, the driver membrane, if not vented properly, will bend and crackle when inserted until the pressure eventually equalizes.

No problems with driver flex at all on my pair. They are vented very well actually I can tell.

That must be defeat or bad design.
So far, no one reports that on FH5, fortunately.Edit

Zero driver flex here
