Anyone had any issues with ES File Explorer repeatedly crashing upon opening ?

Am I ok to download the app from the Play Store or does the firmware on the M11 use a special version ?

Or any alternatives that would work on the M11 ?

I really don't want to go back to scratch installing fresh firmware and setting up my settings up again - took me best part of a day the last time I was having slowness issues so if I can avoid that, great.

Before enforced retirement, I was in the computer industry.
And RTM was an acronym we used, 'Read The Manual' or if it was someone we knew... RTFM. I'll leave you to work out what the F stood for.
I was taught “If all else fails, RTFM”

Had the same issue with my phone and several apps, this was apparently due to Chrome and Webview System update and is now fixed with latest Chrome update ver. 89.0.4389.105 (no more app crash on my end on my phone so far)

see more infos here : https://www.theverge.com/2021/3/22/22345696/google-android-apps-crashing-fix-system-webview

and here : https://www.google.com/appsstatus#hl=en&v=issue&sid=1&iid=aa75515d184a2423be444d676b7ebf45

And still regarding ES File Explorer alternative anyway, as i already mentionned here i highly recommend 'File Manager +' which is very versatile in terms of file management, especially considering its ability to move files from/to M11 without any cable through FTP access

Dear friend,

If the issue still remains, please contact support@fiio.com with the log files attached:

When the certain problem happens on the player, please go to " Settings ->About device" , and continually tap“Model number", until the prompt "Have save output log to built-in storage" appears. Then please wait for about 20 seconds, and go to player's internal storage, then send these two log files "XXX-kernel-xx.log" and "XXX-system-xx.log" to us for further analysis.

Best regards

@FiiO I will forward files to support

Standby, a M11 Plus is coming. Don't know the specs yet.
I think the reveal is planned for May. New design (no volume wheel, glass back very similar to M17), Snapdragon 660 with Android 10, MQA, THX AAA-78. Not sure about DACs but probably ES9038Q2M to compete with M6 21 and R6.

It should be a nice feature to keep => the Dual micro SD as the M11... I won't switch to a M11 Pro, M15 or another other DAP for just a new Hires Chipset. 2XSD is more important.

Hi , I am new to daps/portable music and was wondering if anyone on here are using the M11/pro straight into a power amp, as a dac/preamplifier and if it’s any good for that.

I have two monoblocks and a set off speakers which I like to hook up in the office and using a DAP to travel from home to the office and keep using the same player is very intriguing 🤔.

thanks
