I live in austria as Paltauf. It's on my radar as well second to Icon's 205D.
Musicalhead did in german though...
https://musicalhead.de/2022/02/14/test-paltauf-hpa100-sp/
I got the impression, since his #1 setup for quite some time (besides Aperio) is Sus+AIC10, that the
HPA 100 could be a sane choice for one who can't get a Riviera.

There is a german dealer who sold quite a few on ebay over the last year and one right now!
https://www.ebay.de/usr/vip-exklusiv?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l2559

He sold many D8Kpros around € 2500.-

Thanks a lot for sharing, positive impressions indeed.

Power ratings are also impressive

600 ohms 1 watt
120 ohms 5.4 watts
32 ohms 20 watts
15 ohms 35 watts
8 ohms 70 watts

Significantly above the Phonitor’s price point, but the best amp pairing for the D8K Pro I’ve heard to date is the MASS-Kobo 394ii.
I have a MK 433 and it pairs extremely well with my D8KPLE. People sleep on that amp way too much. One of the best SS amps for is size/performance/price.

I was able to find a new D8000 Pro LE which is on its way to be (hopefully) delivered soon.

Any suggestions for Amp pairing?
I currently have a Phonitor Xe, anyone has any experience with this combination?
I'm currently paring my D8000 pro with a Auris Nirvana, I think this combo sounds pretty amazing!

can't imagine why one would sell that?
how about LE vs your HE1000HE???
My previous LE owner prefered the regular D8000, so that's my win ^^

Pontus is being replaced by May, not because I do not love Pontus.

For the comparison between FA D8000 Pro LE vs HE1Kse, it is very early to say, and I am not going to attempt to use descriptive terminology (as I suck at that) but one thing I was surprised about was that I was loving Electronic music through the T8K-Pro Ltd, (Groove Armada, Leftfield, Massive Attack, Dj Shadow etc) which for years I was not enjoying that much with my previous setup.

Where the 1000se shone for me, Jazz and Acoustic music, I think I might still prefer it to the d8000 pro, but they are close and it is early days.

For Progressive Rock my preferred choice has been Sennheiser HD800s through Donald North Starlett tube amps. But I have not been using that beautiful amp due to space restrictions for a while.

I want to try the d8000 with tube amps, in fact I am in the process of getting the Head 2 we talked about, lets see.

All in all I am very very impressed by the d8000 Pro LEs but feel like I need to give myseld some time to discover it more.

With my Cayin N30 DAP, I still prefer my Amber Pearl IEM to my D8000 Pro LE.
This lead me to believe that with DAPs, even a very powerful one, TOL IEM sound better than any Full size headphone that need a Desktop Amp to offer their full potentiel...

I was thinking of that amp, I was deciding between the MK 433 or the 394 II. Do you think the 433 has enough power for other headphones like the 1266? I also heard it has a warm sound profile, would say that it is similar to a violectric warmness?

I am also thinking between those two (433 and 394 ii) it says the 433 is the next itteration after 394 is discontinued, but when I look at the price difference it is almost double so it is questionable how do they compare soundwise.

Shame on you if you look further than Auris...you have a masterclass amps in your backyard.
I have one (Ha-2 SF) and am thinking of getting another (new model) for headphones, but I hope someday to grab one for speakers, too (Auris Fortino 88). I am using HA-2 SF exclusively with Final D8000.

Cheers!
