Could you please elaborate a bit more in detail how you personally feel where the D8000 and the Pro differ in sound?
On Final's website all I could find is that the Pro is better suited for Classical music whereas the D8000 is the better choice for Electronic music.

Youtube has two good reviews between the 800 and 800 Pro. For me the Pro gave a wider soundstage , extended and more details in the treble. Mids on the Pro is a bit more up front , bass on the Pro is a bit faster and more layered.
I highly doubt it. Nowadays, do you think that the manufacturer of a $3000 or $4000 pair of headphones, which includes a completely custom cable with custom made plugs, would put a lousy cable on it that isn't as good as a random $45 from China?
Maybe that's a bit harsh, but with the A8000 IEMs, I tried a third party cable which has improved all the IEMs I've tried it with, and they sounded worse than with the stock cable.
Yes. I have a few other things to get through first though.

Hi Currawong, I saw both your YouTube reviews of A8000 and ier-z1r. You like both, I see that, but could you compare the two for us please? How do they differ? I like the audeze xc and not the lcd4, I like meaty mids but need clarity and treble extension. I did not like the utopia but preferred the stelia. It’s not just closed vs open. I prefer grado RS2e to Beyer’s T5p. So it’s quite personal and being a very expensive choice would really value your views.

I'd really like a D8000 Pro with the comfort of the Utopia or Empyrean. That being said, it does seem to have the best sonic traits of both other headphones, without their flaws.

Different driver technology, planar vs dynamic. If you are really impressed with pure beryllium drivers, the Utopia has it, but in my personal experience owning the Utopia, the D8000/Pro sounds better.
