final x DITA Shichiku.Kangen Discussion & Impressions
- Thread starter jwbrent
- Start date
I just got my set in today on this limited edition (500 worldwide) collaboration between final and DITA commemorating the long partnership between the two companies. I’ll get unboxing photos up soon and my initial impressions. Of course, I’ll be comparing it to my favorite, the A8000.

I was just about to make a thread for these lol
Since there's a lot of talks in the Head-Gear section I made a while back.
Thankfully I searched first if there was already one made.

Still find it hard to believe so few of these were made. The production number on mine is in the lower teens. I guess it has to be true, and it's a sign that Final is still a bit of an obscure brand relatively speaking. Don't think they'll do another run.
I really enjoyed them on my first listen for a few hours yesterday. They seem to be as detailed as I recall the A8000s being. I remember that some times the A8000s sounded hyper real or beyond real, almost as if I took some drugs and my hearing senses were extra alert. This time I'm rather getting a sense of extreme realism, refined realism, but not beyond the real.

Looking forward to the comparison with the A8000 as I’ve been interested in those for some time.I just got my set in today on this limited edition (500 worldwide) collaboration between final and DITA commemorating the long partnership between the two companies. Wohoo, so you open a thread of it!
Shamelessly repost some of my gear pics here.

I do wonder if the transparency of the S.K will be somewhat muted compared to the A8000. I’m burning in my set now (it took about 200 hours total for the A8000), so we’ll see.
I hate that cable. The plastic sleeve is a nightmare.

My complaint is that they didn't include those nice Final ear hooks. I get that the cable already has guides on the L/R ends, but I'd like the extra stability.
Instead they gave us two MMCX assist tools, one for each side I guess!

DITA told Andrew the cable softens with use … we’ll see.

I’m curious as to why no is talking about the bumblebees (project 71) Sakura! I’m very curious about the sq of these as well. Any impressions are welcomed. Do they have there own thread?
