No hiss with my A18/Hugo2 pairing unless it is so minor that I cannot hear it. They are a stellar combo that I listen to every day and love. As opposed to a DAP the Hugo2 sounds like a high-end desktop with a much more complex and natural soundstage with great timbre. Going back to my WM1A, AK100ii, or Caylx M, they sound like DAPs in comparison.

Thanks for your impression, I will go and give Hugo 2 another try.

All aboard the QDC train?

Demoed the QDC lineup, QDC4, 8 and Gemini. IMO, they provide great sound quality that is very competitive at the price range. The built quality is great, meeting industrial standards. In Asia, Chinese brands such QDC and Unique Melody are considered as budget IEM / CIEM among my peers as they are priced lower than Western brands while providing great listening experience.

The wood on Marcus and Lieven's VE8's are already available (known as Wood Heart). I was talking about these!

:astonished: I hadn't even seen those yet! Ooh, lovely jubbly! :D

VE has beautiful design options, some of my favorite, at least from the design generator on their site.
