After we replace yours and fill all in house orders we have 30 remaining for sale. The shipment is coming in finally this week. I'm told that it's Wednesday by France.

Correction we've pre sold a few more. We have 23 available after we take of the replacements and pre-orders. I heard there are 3-4 more being pre-ordered today that my staff are trying to return calls on.

I love this. All the talk of the Elear was enough to rile up the troops but now with Tyll backing up the claims that they are the best $1k~ headphones I need no more reasons to buy it as soon as Focal decides they are ready to release it into the wild properly.
 
Also great to know the Flow technology in the new Ethers is not overhyped. Really looking forward to Tyll's full reviews on all 3, exciting times in the headphone world!

I totally agree with Tyll on this.  To my ears, the Elear is currently the best all-around @$1000 headphone that you can buy. 
 
I actually prefer it over the $1700 HD 800S.

Can't say I'm surprised, the finesse behind Focal's engineering and technology was obviously impressive from the day Jude announced the headphones, that together with the fact that the Elear have been reported to sound akin to the legendary HD650 more so than the HD800S and incredibly musical puts them dead centre of my preferences and attention - the only other pair of headphones under like $1.5k (even 2k if we disregard the new Flow Ethers until they are finalized) that even remotely interests me right now after all I've heard about the Elear is the Kennerton Vali which again, falls right under my sonic signature preferences.

Curious to find out as well. I wonder if Tyll will rate the Elear over the "old" version of the Ethers, that could mean the new Flows could knock the HD800S out and then the Utopia could even rank above the HE-1000. 

 
Given how much Tyll loves pleasant and soft sounding headphones (much like myself, hence I follows his work so closely) I find it hard to believe the Utopia could dethrone the Hifiman TOTLs but considering how much of a game-changer he said all 3 are, it's absolutely not out of the realm of possibility in my opinion.
 
PS: I wonder if there has been any more talk about the "F" or "7" shaped Focal headphone stand that they were/are going to be making available as an add-on when purchasing the Elear/Utopia. It's gorgeous looking, with the delays and most people that purchased early units from Jason being scarce I haven't heard anything else regarding the stand. I'll gladly throw in another hundred to get it when I order my Elears.

Talk at the meet last weekend (where the stands were present) was that they will be producing them but they're unhappy with the base and will be changing it.

Thank you for clearing that up Jason, shame to hear though, hopefully they make it available for some sort of pre-order when buying the headphones or just have it the same price if a person purchases the stand on its own once it does come out.
