I'm just curious if anyone has ever thought of what they would sound like with the plastic cups? The D7000 has a more efficient driver so maybe it wouldn't sound too bad the plastic.  Maybe I'll try modding a pair just to hear it =)

They definitely won't sound like d2ks. The d2ks with wood cups didn't sound anything like and7k, but like a warm more bassy d2k.
