…switched to the Vérité Closed now for sides 3 & 4, which makes the bass a lot more mellow and takes it back into the band while shining a very nice light on the drums, strings, and woodwinds. Totally different presentation, but intriguing in its own right

I saw some nice „classic“ headphones in your posts. The AKG K812 is a really nice and often underrated headphone that i had some time ago. If i could afford more headphones, i would have kept it. Excellent sound with a Violectric amp.

Tonight's listening session is very relaxing, just a bit of beats to wind down and have a nice time.
Picked the Hisenior Mega5EST again, as the birds are making way too much noise for open back. And I wanted to test some EQ settings on them, that I saw recommend elsewhere on the forum. Not an improvement to my taste.
I should really look into getting a better set of closed headphones for situations like this. Maybe the Sennheiser HD620S?

Anyway, the chain is Tidal, Fiio R7, Aune S17 Pro and the Hisenior Mega5EST (no EQ)

Call it "indie rock" if you must, but as the great sage Huey Lewis says, "it's still that same old back beat rhythm." Guitars, drums, heavy-hitting vocals, an occasional ballad. It's rock. I can't help throwing this one into my rotation this week.
