My cowon
Yeah I can tell there's sub-bass here but it's barely audible on the TH900s, part of that could be the YouTube codec though, I tried it on my living room setup and the SVS also didn't do much.

YouTube also butchers this so it is what it is

Not noticing anything from the TH900 but when I move to the subwoofer this time the whole house shook lol

I suppose it's either a gear issue or the cans need to burn in more, I have a SMSL D300 DAC and Flux Labs FA-22 amp so I'd be surprised if they're a problem.

Anybody knows where you can find replacement of this foam ring? Searched but seems literally unobtainium.

Quoting my self as i swapped these rings to new and seems like old ones were so degenerated that it had effect on bass clarity.

Basicly material had morphed to kinda denser or wetter format over the years and flaked on touch.

Folks, I finished my head-fi review of various Dekoni Elite pads for Fostex TH900.

Here's an excerpt and you can check out the full review linked below. Let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Dekoni pads use better materials and are angled same as with stock Fostex pads. The ear opening is smaller in side vs stock, which is great. With stock pads, I never got a feel of a proper hug. Padding inside Dekoni pads is thicker as well which is a contributing factor to a good hug. These Dekoni pads are made from quality materials that feel pleasant on skin contact. They are thicker, plushier, and provide a much nicer tactile feel than stock ones.

Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin – there’s less sub bass, but more mid bass, less upper treble giving an impressions of less air/smaller stage. Get these if you want even harder bass punch while controlling treble extension.

Elite Sheepskin – these are most similar to stock pads in terms of sound and in terms of visual aesthetics. Get these if you’re happy with stock sound but not stock comfort.

Elite Hybrid – bass is softer, upper mids stand out more leading to slightly brighter profile. Get these if you want the highest level of comfort along with leaner sound.

Elite Velour – these pads change the sound up the most, by de-emphasizing bass and treble. I guess they make TH900ii Red sound a little more similar to mid-focused TH909. They’re almost as comfy to wear as Elite Hybrid, but don’t have same premium tactile feel.

I wasn't registered on this forum, what a heresy, I love the th900 for several years...

I have a question concerning the upgrade of the cable but I give you links of my friend concerning a subject on the EQ and the difference of the Pads, it is here :

Main topic :
https://forum.tellementnomade.org/viewtopic.php?f=288&t=21753

For the Th900 :

Regarding the cable, I would like to find one that upgrades the stock. I use another litz based cable, shorter but I'm looking for something even more transcendent. Do you have any suggestions ?

Have a nice day !
