I picked up some JBL Flix1 bookshelf speakers from the thrift store and was thinking of possibly swapping the drivers. They should have 4.5" full range, but I haven't pulled off the grills yet. I was thinking of Kenwood C1056s.
I know sound is not all about the speaker or the enclosure and different people have different taste. But they have nice looking non ported mdf enclosures and thought I might be able to improve on them.
What brands do you guys use when building your own speakers/enclosures?
