I'd like to make a suggestion if I may?
 
What if we have a list that starts with the Serial / model RS1 or 2 / User name, and if people actually copied and rolled over the list and included their number in order, for example:
 
0000 Grado RS2 (no serial) - willmax 
1237 Grado RS-2 non-i*button* - WhiteCrow
6878 Grado RS2i - markkr
7452 Grado RS2 - 1995bimmer525i

I was gonna roll over the serial list, but I thought whitecrow wanted to do it himself 

This pair I got from ebay. The one I bought from mlantinen is still in transit, it was supposed to arrive last Tuesday, I'm getting worried since usps express mail is always one week or less

I honestly can't remember what my old MS PRO sounded like.
But on Monday night when I did a side by side comparison with my recabled MS Pro, it went like this in order of increasing brightness: HF2, then RS1, then MS Pro.

I sold my RS1i to buy an HD800, but I missed them so much that I bought another pair. I'm loving it's liquid and intimate sound, It's the perfect companion for the HD800, which is neutral with a huge soundstage. Vocals are absolutely stunning on these!

I really enjoy these cans.  They are still breaking in even after 100+ hours.

these are new and still haven't reached the 100hr mark.  more like 30hrs.  at this point i'm not sure that i like them very much but am hoping they'll settle down and smooth out the highs with more burn-in.  i can certainly see/hear the attraction, in particular with rock music, but having been a senn guy most of my life i am having some trouble adjusting to the sound.  it takes me a song or two to get in the groove but in the end the harsh highs are very fatiguing after an hour or so.  by comparison, switching to my HD600's after that feels like I've crawled back into the womb.  perhaps i'll try waving some dead chickens over them and if they settle down  any tips/advise would be very welcome.

If you find the RS2i harsh you're probably wearing them wrong. If anything, the Grado RS-series are very smooth, even smoother than HD600.
Make sure that you're wearing them correctly. Don't try to wear them over your ears, but ON your ears. Try to wear them as low and as forward as possible from your eardrum. This eliminates harsh highs and greatly improves soundstage.
