Can anyone comment on this pairing? I am looking to upgrade my amp at some point and when listening to speakers I tend to enjoy class A amps like Pass Labs which I am pretty sure the GSX mini is (class A).

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but, just wanted to pop in and say that the GS-X Mini sounds spectacular with the Empyrean. Dac pairing seemed to be important, seeing as some of my different dacs sounded better with the Mini + Empyrean combo while other dacs didn't.

Currently using the Meze Empyrean + GS-X Mini + RME ADI-2 FS dac, and it's honestly such a good match. Running the Empyrean balanced using the silver upgrade cable. When I first tried my Empyreans on the Mini with a different dac of mine, I could tell that the synergy wasn't there, so I played around with pairings and found one that's really well matched.

The Empy sounds so good out of the combo I'm currently running them on. So to people wondering if the Mini is a good pairing with the Empy -- yes!
