I am looking for a decent pair of headphones for doing lawnwork, they need to have decent isolation and stay in my ears well.  I was looking at the PMX 680i, but I haven't heard them or tried them on.  Should I go with these or look at a different pair?

For lawn mowing I use a comfy pair of IEM's like the Soundmagic PL30's and then wear ear protection (earmuff) over them.  I think you get even better (dual) noise isolation this way.  I can listen to my music at very low volume levels, even with a 25hp engine behind me.

Oh that looks like an interesting alternative.  Would those headphones be better than the CX200 (On sale on Newegg)?

Also, I'd like to add that the headphones I want to have a decent amount of bass since I mainly listen to metal.

The pl30's are balanced, so they don't have heavy bass; however I enjoy them with hard rock/metal. I'm not familiar with those on newegg. As long as the IEMs you get don't protrude much from your ears, they'll work well with the Peltor ear protection.

I don't find IEMs or headphones to isolate enough for big zero turn mower engines but a combo of IEMs and ear muff are awesome.
