Hey guys... I am in the market for a new set of headphones.  I am using the X-Fi Titanium HD and I mostly play games.  I am looking at the Beyerdynamic DT770's.  I like the headphones to be closed so I can drown out all outside sound and get lost in my games.  I am seeing that there is a 250ohm and an 80 ohm version.  Which of these would be best for my sound card?  I don't know a ton about amps but the sound card supposedly has a headphone amp on it (I'm sure it's not amazing).

Also, any other recommendations on sets besides the DT770's just so I can look at other options?

You could look into the Ultrasone HFI-780, which handles immersive gaming nicely and competitive gaming reasonably well.

The Titanium HD does have a headphone out for headphones up to 330 Ohm, which is more than most soundcards that don't have integrated amps do. You can optionally add a headphone amp to it, like a PA2V2, an O2 or a Schiit Asgard.
