(wanted to post in DIY forum but can't because new member)

so my cable connection to the driver lead broke and I decided to be louis rossmann for the day and solder it back together I've done it before on DT990 and it worked fine, what I ended up doing is soldering 2 leads and melting the one in the middle so it basically fell right off and now only one ear works
it looks like this the metal lead in the middle fell off due to excessive melting of the plastic underneath
so what I'm asking is, is there any hope for the driver or should I spend $70 for a new one? also the drivers I've found for the 250 ohm have the leads on a pcb and not like the one I have which look exactly like the picture would that one work?

The driver is toast.
It sounds like you left the soldering iron on the tab for far too long.
The iron needs to be very hot so you only need to dab it on for half a second to completely melt the solder.

You need to get an identical, matching driver.
Many of the Beyerdynamic drivers look the same, but often they're not.
