Better late than never!
I have one of the last RS-1 with the buttons, and I think the newest ones without buttons look pretty good.
I like both styles, actually -- but if I had a choice, I would go for the new ones without buttons -- just look slightly "cleaner" design, to me.
But, some peeps like the buttons better.
Different strokes....
EDIT: Before anyone asks -- NO, I don't want to trade my button ones for non-button ones -- they work plenty good, and I am keeping them!

No worry, it looks from your avatar, that you were simply distracted by listening to some good tunes..and well that's always nice!

Yup. New buttonless ones sound a bit better IMO. Less upper midrange glare. My ears, YMMV, etc.

hmm, I think the opposite, and think the button bearing RS series sound better and are more attractive looks-wise too. I have not seen a buttonless pair that looks as nice first hand or in pics. Have heard two new buttonless pairs actually, recently. I scored a button bearing pair just recently for my wife, whom adores the RS sound to all other Grado phones, her thoughts were the same per sound and looks. Many think the sound is improved on the new ones, so please don't listen to me. (ever, actually, I have no idea usually about anything)

i upgraded last week from SR-60 to SR-325i, and the difference for me is huuge
Deep purple, Led Zep and Pink Floyd now sounds soo lively, so real, so clear, crisp and very toe-tapping
i'm just enjoying my new Grados, then a had a strange thought
how does RS-1 sound, when SR325i is amazing, so i strarted to search and got this
Now i know wich can is my next (maybe last) upgrade
Thanks you guys, for getting me out of the fog
Now thinking of some good amplification and source

There are no "last" upgrades.
I predict you're going to develop an interest in vacuum tubes.
