Yes. I'm personally using the R3 II as a wired DAC with the M300 and it works fine.

Have you tried it with a "normal" dongle DAC? I'm planning to buy this one and I already have a Shanling UA2. I think it will be something similar as using it with the R3 II but I don´t have too much experience in this and I'd like to have it confirmed.

It doesn't appear to have that option, i use it for key lock.
It's not possible to use one of the other two buttons for that? Seems strange that you can only use it for pause/play and to pass to the next song (i'm using hibymusic app)

No, the ones between those (the volume) and the fn bottons.

Only the Fn button is assignable, I will talk to the team about adding Prev as an option. It does seem like an obvious option to have, if it's not yet available.

... because I don't have the M300 yet I didn't realize that the Fn button is not a button but a switch. You can't use a switch to do previous track. It seems this player won't have a prev button. Sorry about that.
