Tonal correctness and TC don't go well together in my opinion. It's fun having a sub on the head, but it's not accurate to the music. VO/VC kind of have the same problem. I think the tonality of Utopia is way better, but the build quality is an insult at 4000 EUR. You can always add a bass shelf to the Susvara, but that can be heavy on your amp. I think the Susvara was the only headphone I had no need of applying EQ.

I get and agree with what you say. There is always some compromises to make though i dont use EQ. The only alteration i use and cant live without is crossfeed

Has anyone tried the Keces S300 amplifier that Sandu rates so highly? The small footprint (30x28 cm) is appealing. No preamp, however. Is Power Holdings the only dealer?

Seems to be a good combo. I haven’t tried other speaker amps but I hear it’s a good pairing. I’d like to try out dual monos though

It's a rather broad subject and highly subjective. Some folks don't use these features at all and some engage them for all cans they have. It's all up to one's taste really, but thanks for asking!

Waited for them to thermally-stabilize from this afternoon since it's so cold here in NJ.
Struggled with myself for what my first listening experiences would be. (Classical? Jazz? Rock?)

I finally settled on these to showcase all that these can do:

I’m thinking of ordering either a Black Dragon or a Senn CH700S for mine. Interim I’ve got some decent cables from AliExpress I bought for the HE6SE. I’m confused by the stock cable. It sounds like it would be great if you read the description. But…here we are.
