Compared to typical headphone cables, the LL-RD 2024 uses a numerous amount of high-end monocrystalline silver as its conductor material. The LL-RD 2024 has a total of 400 cores across 4 strands, with a total cross-sectional area of 24AWG. The larger cross-sectional area of monocrystalline silver wires effectively reduces resistance and minimizes signal transmission loss, ensuring signals are transmitted quickly and reliably.
Coaxially braided
To better harness the high-resolution characteristics of monocrystalline silver, the LL-RD 2024 is coaxially braided. Each of the 4 main strands contains 6 smaller strands made of 14 wires each. Additionally, a special smaller strand composed of 16 wires is added to each of the main strands, resulting in positive and negative poles of 200 cores in total per main strand. The use of high-purity silver as the conductor material enhances conductivity, improving soundstage and resolution while being both transparent and smooth. Furthermore, a similar braiding technique with the same core count is also used for the shielding layer. This layer serves to isolate the conductor wires from external noise, ensuring a balanced and natural sound.
