I have a pair of ZMF Omni's that seem like I am getting a higher volume out of the right channel as compared to the left. How can I check that they are balanced properly?

Thanks,
James

First check that it is not your player / settings by looking at any channel balance options you may have turned on. Also, swap the headphones around so the left is on your right side etc just to make sure your hearing is good on both sides. Sometimes wax can cause the appearance of a channel imbalance. Check that the cable is firmly pressed into the player and headphones. Sometimes a loose connection can cause this issue.

Well it's not the balance on my MacBook, or my hearing it seems, as flipping the headphones makes them prominent on the opposite side. I wonder if a mono recording would help, something not in stereo. Something that would send the same signal and sound evenly to either side.

Happy to check them out for you via measurement if you'd like and re-tune if needed.

Thanks Zachary, I think I'm going to make sure I am having things correctly before I jump to conclusions. Might be my ears or maybe my imagination. Honestly, don't know if I can handle going a week or more without them again!! They are for sure my go-to headphones, I enjoy them so much. I will let you know.

Cools, usually imbalances can be fixed within 24 hours so no worries either way.
