Hello all! Well recently I decided to buy some Portapros after my Grado's failed on me however, I couldn't help but mod them...big time...I found some old sony mdr v150's and decided to put the Portapro drivers (blue plastic and all) in the sony enclosure...after that was done I felt the sound seemed to closed so i cut huge holes on the side...even then the sound was not up to "open" standards for me and out of sheer luck I found the solution: putting grado quarter modded comfies over the existing pads! The soundstage is incredible now, the bass is tamed and the detail is amazing. They make my Sr60's sound muddy in comparison! However there is only one issue the grado pads are not fastened to the original pads in any way so whenever I take the headphones off they simply fall off and I'm left with the original pleather pads. My question is if there is any way i could glue or attach the pads together? Any help is much appreciated!
