iFi Audio Asks... What (Product) Should We Make Next?

More powerful linear power supply for NUC (Roon Core) for example

I second this one. iPower Elite (or similar) that can do 19V x 3.5A for a Roon Nucleus (or equivalent NUC).

This second one is getting pretty wild, but what about a battery that could power a whole headphone system for a few hours that outputs absolutely flawless, distortion-free AC.... :)

If doing a TOTL DAP would really like it to have a replaceable battery.

Portable CD player

If that happens, it needs to be able to do gap-less playback. Inexplicably, it seems none of the recent products from Shanling, Moondrop, and others can do it.

I've noticed this as well, even some DAPs have no gapless for Tidal Or Qobuz, wish I knew why this was

Cheers!!

My speculation is because some manufacturers may not be sourcing (or building) proper CD transports that extract the full bitstream. The lack of gapless may indicate a manufacturer are using reconfigured CD-roms that read a CD track by track like a computer accessing a hard drive. Music on a CD is not stored like music files ripped from CD into digital files onto your computer. It is first world problems but it is quite awful to insert a gap into a soundtrack, Pink Floyd or live classical CD album and so on and so :relaxed:

Another vote for a DAP, but I would like it to have Android so I can install the streaming app of my choice. If non-Android then at least have apps for Tidal, Apple Music and the other most popular streaming services built in.

Ideally I'd like to see a mid-end DAP with a DAC/amp section with the level of quality of the Go Bar, and then a high end DAP with an amp/DAC section more like the Gryphon.

But if that's not doable then at least a mid-end DAP with mid level quality sound or better.
