Is the regular Diablo discontinued? I never saw any answer to the question of using regular IEMs with Diablo X since it does not have Echo mode.
I don't think it is discontinued, but some retailers heavily discounted the red Diablo, so it is a good time to buy if you are not interested in xMEM IEMs. You can still listen to sensitive IEMs with the Diablo X, but you will have to use the little iMatch wire.Is the regular Diablo discontinued? Thanks for the confirmation, I am sure lots of folks were interested in this!Owner of iDSD Diablo-X here with an xMEMs IEMS.
I would like to confirm for everyone that the Easter egg works as it did in the original iDSD Diablo. Currently using ddHiFi DJ30A adapter (iFi's adapter also works - adapters need to have the negative signal wires disconnected for single-ended connection) with a Qudelix 5k.
As was mentioned by iFi in this thread the Diablo-X is the same other than the trade-off of Eco mode to enable the additional circuit for the bias voltage required for MEMs drivers.
