Fully analogue, 2-track potentiometer. The same sits in micro iDSD BL.

Noob here ! Recently acquired a Beyerdynamic DT880 (250 ohm) and a Fiio A5 to drive it. Was looking at other amps to experiment a bit. I don't need a DAC yet but was pointed to this. Would this have enough power to drive the 250 ohm beyers ?

The Nano BL don't have line input,just USB so you can't use it as amp only.

I just got an email from Future Shop. I wonder if this is because of the MQA issues.

There has been an issue with the iFi Audio Nano iDSD Black Label DAC and Headphone Amp which is why iFi have delayed the release of the unit ( which should have the stock last week). This is a brand new unit and iFi discovered a last minute fault. The units will be with the distributors at the end of this week and we expect to ship you order early next week.

Curious to find out what the issue is? I have mine so far ok, except when I play MQA light isn't magenta.

Can we please confirm this? i'm keenly looking at this unit and some local shops already have ready stock. Now if the 1st few batches have "any defect", i might just hold off purchasing one...

Ok got in touch with our local retailer. He said he hasn't heard anything from @iFi audio about a recall. Might just be the batch they got.

They will react once they will have the official statement in the matter. They are always specific about any technical issues in their products.

Can anyone who has this unit compare the DAC section (line out only) to the Dragonfly Red, Explorer2, and/or Modi Multibit?

I have the DF Red and I love it. I tried the Explorer2, and I wasn’t impressed. I’ve had a Modi Multibit for about 10 days, and I’m also not impressed with it (especially on USB). It just doesn’t have the midrange bite that the DFR has. Considering returning it and ordering the Nano BL.
