It's a shame they didn't add bass boost and Xspace, would have been nice.
I tested the Zen Dac and found it not bad,very organic,powerful,no difference in voices between woman/man,I was just missing a bit of detail,a bit more depth,maybe a bit more width in the finish.
No idea if the Neo could offer that on the Feliks Euforia.

About Audirvana, it sounds good, although I have tested Studio before, I thought 3.5 was better.
Also compared to Roon.

It should work with Audirvana 3.5 too, I just have no way to test it.
I also own more iFi gear and a Feliks Echo.
Note that the difference between the Zen Dac [v1] and this is huge.

Mercury / Pi2AES have signals going to all outputs simultaneously. I understand why the iFi ZEN Stream requires the user to select either USB or COAX. I would also assume this is not different on the NEO Stream.

My question specific to the NEO Stream, in the Digital mode (not Analogue or USB DAC Audio Output modes) are all digital outputs active, including I2S, Optical, Coaxial (RCA), and AES/EBU?

I mean that all outputs are active.
I can connect my Singxer Su 2 to the Dac and the hi-fi system at the same time and the sound comes out at the same time.
The only thing that would not work is if you select the source you want to connect to, then the signal will only come out from there, for example coax.
And all other sources are then deactivated.

This is what it displays in Roon mode for sure - artwork (album name, band name), bitrate

Over the holiday season, I had a real chance to incorporate my Darkvoice amp into my NEO setup.

To be fair, I have not had much time to enjoy my DV over the last several months, but now having the NEO Stream firmly in place that has changed.

I am using the unbalanced RCA analog output of the NS direct to the DV, and I run the 4.4mm balanced out to the Geshelli Archel 2.5XL so being the NS outputs simultaneously to these connections I have no need for switching connections any more. This has made it much easier to listen to whatever mood strikes me. For my listening tastes, I like the GTO filter when listening to the DV, and generally Bit-Perfect when listening to the Geshelli.

This is a great combo (if you are into tubes) and having the flexibility of the NS now part of my system has made it even more enjoyable and for me another plus for the NS in my setup!

I have a problem with the Optibox that came with my Neo. Over the last few weeks my Neo would stop playing and after doing all the usual fixes that normally resolved things I got it playing again. However today nothing was working so I thought I'd try and take the Optibox out of the equation and revert to ethernet. While doing this I noticed the cable at the end that goes into the Neo was a bit loose and this presumably is causing my issue. The Neo is working fine with ethernet in the meantime, so I wonder if it would be possible to arrange for a replacement Optibox to be sent to me? I bought from Amazon back on November 15th, the only option they provide is to return the Neo as a whole for a refund which I obviously do not want to do because it is only the Optibox that is not functional. Are you able to arrange for someone from iFi to contact me, or perhaps you can deal with this directly?

I am having an issue, where the NS will not play any audio whatsoever, receiving an ALSA Error "Failed to open device, softvolume device or resource busy or HW:0,0 Device or resource busy and does not show in ROON. I have factory reset and updated and same issue. Any suggestions...?

Sounds like some other music player is possibly holding on to it? Have you used another player beside Roon? Might be worth rebooting your pc/mac?

No skipping, all of those functions would be relegated to Roon itself, or any of the apps themselves.

Knob is mainly for settings adjustments and volume control.
