I'm in the market for a pair of new headphones over, on, or in doesn't make too much of a difference to as long as they sound incredible. The only catch is I'm shooting for an under $70 price range. Care to shoot me some options?

Sound preference, genres, isolation, comfort, build?

Well for sound preference I'm not a basshead I listen to a lot of different genres, miniscule amounts of rap. Some of my favorite artists are Cake, Muse, Billy Talent, Coheed and Cambria, Radiohead, They Might Be Giants, etc. some isolation would be nice as well as enough comfort to wear for a few hours. Sorry for being so vague... I'm new to this and it'll be my first real headphones in the amateur audiophile headphones.

So rock, isolates, comfort. Alright then.

Headphones - S500s have a nice tonality for rock, isolates okay stock but apparently gets better with different pads, might want to read the thread. Would've said the sr60i as well if it hadn't conflicted with everything usability-wise. Also the DJ100s would be worth a look as well.

IEMs - E10, R-20, maybe the SE215 if you can spare the budget.

for IEM, Etymotic Research HF5 with an amazon warehouse deal would only be a few dollars outside of your range, plus shipping, the next model down MC5 seems to be well recieved

Ah, sorry about that.  Amazon warehouse deal is part of the used pricing.  Sometimes the item is just something that was returned and is still in pristine condition.  If you look under the used pricing for the HF5 for example, and look at the various conditions of warehouse deals on this item, you'll find one that states "Item may come repackaged." for 72.81 while the others may mention imperfections or missing objects for the same price.  I ended up buying one in this exact condition a couple weeks back and I am thoroughly pleased with the item, especially seeing that it saved me nearly $25.

Thanks again! I can't believe I didn't figure that out on my own ha ha. Those are probably what I'm going to get, I really appreciate the help!
