i've been doing alot of research and came across a few reviews on both units. A review from HeadphonereviewHQ on youtube mentions about how the e17 sits on e09k.
here is the link, 7:11 mark

i've been thinking about ways to come up with some sort of a support for the e17 so it sits in there securily and not risk damaging the dock connector on the e09k if i were to accidently hit it or something.
need ideas...
edit: got a few ideas; maybe find an extension-cord-adapter coming from the dock connector to the e17 so it doesnt necessarily have to sit up there. just lay it down.
or
rig up a support base that'll sit on top of e09k right behind the dock. so as you insert the e17 it'll have "back support" if you know what i mean.
