Do you have an eta for international dealers? I am very hesitant to buy direct as you can get seriously stung with import charges. I would much rather know exactly how much I am paying for something upfront.

Where are you located? We are still in the process of rebuilding our international dealer network, so we may or may not have a presence in your region.

DUNU It's a good time to go #PRO. Our next generation of in-ears powered by ECLIPSƎ are here! Learn more on our official website. Stay updated on DUNU at their sponsor profile on Head-Fi.

I am in the UK, as it stands I can order from any EU dealer though sadly this will change next year most likely...

You're welcome to inquire with one of our UK dealers, advancedmp3players.co.uk

They don't have LUNA listed, but perhaps they'll be willing to accommodate a special order for you. As mentioned, we can start shipping units at the end of the month, so dealers are slated to receive units by early March, if not earlier.

Great thanks for the information, I might try contacting them and see what they can do.

With the offices back open now, how is everything going?

Our factory has been open since 2/20, and we've working hard to fulfill outstanding orders made before and during our hiatus. We'll be shipping out a good number of LUNAs this weekend, from Thursday through Saturday.

Having tried both the Luna & A8000 already, I feel the Luna is the undisputed winner in terms of sound, build & packaging. The unboxing experience is on another level. Brilliant flagship.

For those who can read Chinese or if you cannot, just Google translate this article, https://post.m.smzdm.com/p/adwrnmrd. I came across this article recently and would like to share with everyone here. It has a detailed comparison between the Luna & A8000 and pretty much sums up how the Luna is much superior with a more controlled & organic sound. Have a good read!

Thanks but my Chinese is a little "rusty" and Google translate did things like this, I think something was lost in translation :)

"The beryllium diaphragm itself is relatively hard, but this puppet is not particularly prone to thrust. In other words, the sound can play better when the thrust is large, and the mobile phone with a small tail is basically okay to listen. The sound orientation is still fairly positive. Maybe the reason for the decoding line, I think the intermediate frequency is a little bit oily, but this is good with the resistance to hearing. After more than ten minutes of listening, the decoding line is still a little hot; "

The writer concluded that they are for different target audiences and not that the Luna is better.

The A8000 for transparency.

Yea you are right. That's his/her conclusion that they are for different target audiences but one point to note is that the writer mentions that the A8000 has "有明显齿音", basically means obvious sibilance which automatically gives Luna the edge as I am sure a listener would not like sibilance. I have tried both IEMs myself and due to the lean & revealing presentation of the A8000, it is very source dependent as compared to the Luna which is more versatile.

I own the A8000 it definitely is more oriented for a specific sound. It is like my Hd800s but without the outdoor speaker-like soundstage.

The treble is hot, but not simbilant on most recordings. Only in like female pop songs with harsh badly masterings does it get simbilant.

Nicki Minaj music is usually painfully simbilant for me in bad headphones but it is not with the A8000.

But other recordings made to be more loud and pop like Gwen Stefani will be simbilant on the A8000.

I want to buy a Luna, are they available yet? Anyone moving on and selling theirs used?

It depends on your listening genres and tolerance definitely. Having tried most of the flagship dynamic IEMs, my favourites are Acoustune HS1695 Ti & Dunu Luna. The Luna is available for sale already.

We should maybe consider consolidating Luna impressions and reviews such as the one that is (unfortunately) still pending a good translation to the thread below before things get too fragmented ; )

Edit: tried Microsoft translator instead of google translate on the above linked review; results were equally hilarious as Steve Oliver’s snippet. Thank you @audio123 for the brief interpretation!

I can translate it in a nutshell.

"Luna has spot on bass extension and there is good bass quality. A8000 has less bass quantity. The bass decay on the Luna is quicker while the A8000 is slower which is better for drums only. However, for more complex tracks, the Luna is able to showcase its potential with a tighter and punchier presentation. The note on the Luna is slightly thicker. For the vocals, A8000 has a thinner presentation and female vocals are cleaner but with obvious sibilance. Luna has a more balanced and bodied presentation. Personally speaking, female vocals on both are expressed differently. Male vocals are undeniably better on the Luna. Luna has a stronger upper midrange display and there is good control. A8000 has brighter treble and higher transparency. Luna is not as bright with more body for a fatigue-free listen. If you feel A8000's upper midrange is thin and aggressive, Luna is more suitable. If you feel A8000's upper midrange is ok, Luna is probably more balanced sounding. For the stage, A8000 is bigger but not as enveloping & natural as the Luna."
