Introducing LUNA by DUNU, the world's first pure beryllium rolled foil diaphragm flagship dynamic in-ear! (Page 18: Loan Tour Announcement)

I can translate it in a nutshell.

"Luna has spot on bass extension and there is good bass quality. A8000 has less bass quantity. The bass decay on the Luna is quicker while the A8000 is slower which is better for drums only. However, for more complex tracks, the Luna is able to showcase its potential with a tighter and punchier presentation. The note on the Luna is slightly thicker. For the vocals, A8000 has a thinner presentation and female vocals are cleaner but with obvious sibilance. Luna has a more balanced and bodied presentation. Personally speaking, female vocals on both are expressed differently. Male vocals are undeniably better on the Luna. Luna has a stronger upper midrange display and there is good control. A8000 has brighter treble and higher transparency. Luna is not as bright with more body for a fatigue-free listen. If you feel A8000's upper midrange is thin and aggressive, Luna is more suitable. If you feel A8000's upper midrange is ok, Luna is probably more balanced sounding. For the stage, A8000 is bigger but not as enveloping & natural as the Luna."

Thank you. Factor in the price difference and the choice is obvious between the two and its...

LUNA
Glad to be of help! The choice is very obvious. Apart from the sonic aspect, Luna has a superior packaging (This is undeniable, possibly the best unboxing I have ever experienced in this hobby), cable with modular jack & cheaper by 300 USD.

He also said the A8000 was good for more complicated tracks.

Which follows my experience of them being really well with Heavy metal.

They give amazing clarity for orchestra stuff too, won't get muddled at all. But like the person mentioned, some people may prefer some instrument presentation with more bass.

Where the Luna will be preferred.

Just watched BGGAR's unboxing video.

@DUNU-Topsound is the DTC-100 sold separately? And if so,where can I get one?

It is sold in mainland China but there are no definite plans to offer it internationally. With so many dongles out there, it's hard to convince dealers to carry items that they don't necessarily want to sell.

Im on they hype train! Just ordered my set of Luna from Audio46 :D

The packaging and the content is what I am really impressed about, only if other companies followed suit like this.

Anyone else ordered from Audio46? Heard they only have limited stock so hopefully im not late to the party!

Is the LUNA a limited run ?

No, the driver just takes 10 times longer to fabricate than other dynamic drivers (specialized glues alone take 48 hours to set) so production takes time.

Also the unboxing I am seeing, they have the USB DAC, is that standard? I could use one since my phone does not have a damn 3.5mm jack :p

Yes, the DTC-100 is a USB Type-C DAC based on the ESSTech ES9118 integrated DAC/amp IC. One is included with every LUNA we ship.

The most impressive IEM I have experienced at canjam 2020 NYC is Dunu Luna. Yes I have pulled the trigger, which I knew since I listened to it in the first time. As a owner of many V shaped analytical Flagships such as Tia Fourte, Sennheiser IE 800, and musical IEM as W80, RHA CL2, I would say Luna has a different sound texture than all the earphones in the market, therefore there is definitely a place for Dunu Luna in my collection as well as your collection. I will do a detailed review once I received it:)
