It's fairly bit bigger than UP5, so I wouldn't call it a direct successor.

It was an instant buy until i read no eq.....I don´t understand that decission

There's only 2 companies which are offering EQ with their product. Qudelix 5K (excellent but low budget, sound quality reflective of budget) and Fiio Q15

Fiio are starting to get more into it, the Q15 is soon poised to get global PEQ for all it's inputs and has nice AKM dacs.

I've been nagging and begging others such as IFI and Shanling to embrace PEQ in their products - ifi Gryphon and this H2 would be fantastic if they did it, but they don't want to go into it, it's too much work for them.. we are just seeing re-hashes of products.

Looks interesting, though the last Shanling device I owned with bluetooth was the UP5 and that was a buggy unreliable mess firmware-wise and was basically abandoned after only one or two updates shortly after its release. Have they gotten any better about firmware stability/updates?

Yeah that´s really sad.

The only power we have is just not buying anything without an EQ

It´s 2023 and we are in the Hi-Fi scene....give us a freakin EQ function in everything what the heck.....

the new astell & kern AK HB1 also supports EQ in App.

Mojo2 has peq as well. And q5k doesn't sound low budget.

Anyway, not interested in h2 but shout out to shanling for offering it at competitive price.
