Is anyone opposed to the new 'table' I made for the list? Took a while to type it out :D
Format looks great @M3NTAL! Seems we have lost a few numbers along the way. Sad times. Thanks for putting that together. You are a true friend of the head-fi community.

I should probably be added as "#?" as I still need to ask Audeze again to give me a serial number for my original review unit.

As @M3NTAL said, we are a secretive group... you just happen to be the most secretive!

It's actually pretty cool that out of the 70, you have a non-numbered one. You have a unicorn.

From the Audeze website....

LCD Headphones

The Serial Number is on the barcode sticker on the cardboard box, the Certificate Of Authenticity that came with the headphones, and on the headphones in one of two places (depending on when they were made): inside the left adjustment block (near your ear when you're wearing them), or on a small sticker underneath the headband strap, off to one side and just above the adjustment block.

Do other peoples LCD-R have a serial number on the headphone itself? Mine does not.

Mine doesn't. I used the last two digits of the certificate of authenticity.

"EDIT: The number is on the carbon fiber headband. Just pull the suspension strap down to see it."

That should hopefully help.
Oh hey, mine is there. I had pulled down the strap earlier but I guess not far enough, I didn't see it.

Not to start any conspiracy theories, but mine is #73. It was a B-stock sale from Audeze last November. Must have been a warranty replacement model they held back? The headband says R12073.

Ha, nice find @M3NTAL , I was going to go find my original box to get the warranty card to see if I was actually number 53. Looking on the carbon fiber band is way easier. Not sure why I hadn't thought of that before because when I got the larger headband for the LCD-5, I was told by Audeze customer support to look for the serial number on the headband in the same place.

Awesome! I'm glad you got one

I'm guessing you are on the right track for the reasoning behind the numbers. Same with the triple 0's - Which I'm going to probably end up putting @Currawong
