Given the fact that Sennheiser decided to showcase the Orpheus headphones at CES this year, this has got me thinking that Sennheiser could possibly be thinking of a revival in some guise as a successor to the HD800's and make it their new flagship headphone. To me it seems like the next step in the upgrade cycle, eventually Sennheiser will keep upgrading their flagship until it reaches and brings the standard of the Orpheus to the masses. Why not do it sooner than later?

Thoughts anybody?

Rumor has it that Senn may be developing a new stat. Nobody thinks that it will be cheap though.
Would be nice to see a middle of the road contender, something on par with the Stax SR-407, at a similar price.
Orpheus standard? Get ready to part with multi-thousands. <<ugh>> Poor wallet...

No way will Senn be ditching their dynamic designs. The HD-800 is one of the best of the best.
