I find my AKG K240 headphones don't block out any outside noise, which becomes frustrating throughout the day, because there's people working on the house next door, there's trains coming by, there's people mowing their lawns etc. I feel like I can hear every detail of sound BESIDES MY MUSIC.

I ordered the grado rs80i but promptly canceled my order, so I have some spare doe. I have a pare of Sony V6 headphones, which are closed, but I kind of want something with a better.

I don't listen to hip hop or pop music, so deep bass isn't a concern.

My amp is FiiO E11, but I mainly use my Venturecraft go dap gd-03

I was thinking about getting the AKG K550

K550 are slow for that kind of genres, and some people have problems with the fit. Seems like they were designed for guys with big head.

I recommend the HD 25 I II

Had those. They hurt the skin on my ears from the on-ear design. I'm really looking for something over-ear. Perhaps someone is selling the sennheiser momentums here for under 200?

What about these? They're recommended by /g/ and there's a used pair for 100.

Look into soundmagic HP100 maybe?

Those appear open. I'm just looking for a modest closed headphone. Unless open headphones can be isolating. Just a modestly prices headphones I can use on my amplifiers that immerses me in music at the highest quality for my dollar.

They aren't open. I don't know how much they isolate, though.
