It would seem headphones and full renge drivers share menny of the same problems.
Dose anyone make a 2 way set of cans anymore.
Is there a well balanced set of closed headphones that arent rolled off at the top or bottom that can really sound stage without the back of the hall midrange like some of the senn's Ive heard.I have owned the Senn 590's,Grado SR 80's 325i's and an old pair of Superex ST - PRO B's and I hate to say it but 590's where the best new cans, the 80's where ok,the 325i's will bleed your ears with some music and lack meaningful bass.So far I have not heard anything that beats my old Superex cans.
Can someone give me some suggestions. My headphone amp is the little dot III.
                                                                                             Thanks,Jeff

The Hall perspective and frequency attenuation you've mentioned, is in part laid at the feet of the Little Dot amp your using...and less the phones actually.
