I'm not sure what I'll bring this time. Here's what I'm thinking at the moment:

Yes
- Marantz SA11-S1
- Cayin HA-1A
- AKG K1000

Maybe
- Rega P3-24 / Ortofon 2m Bronze (and some LPs!)
- Conrad-Johnson EF-1
- TTVJ Phono Stage (if the loaner arrives in time)

Probably not
- MacBook Pro / Apple Lossless music
- Stello HP100
- Stello DA100
- Lite DAC-AH
- Sennheiser HD650
- Sennheiser HD25-1
- Grado RS-1
- Jecklin Float Model 1
- Rockhopper Audio Mini^3
- Other bits and pieces.

Let me know if you have a preference for some of the stuff I'm not bringing and I'll see how I go for space. I don't want to lug everything around tho!

If anyone is interested in the stuff I'm selling in my sig then I can bring them too. PM me if that's the case.

Btw, that's great news about the venue pricing Jai. Good work!

Update the signature? Oh, the Meet link eh? Will do now.

I'll see if someone else is bringing those cans first, as I want to minimise the amount of stuff I have to pack.

I'll be bringing:

Etymotic ER4P (will try and bring some spare clean tips for those really keen to try them)
Headamp Pico
Ultimate Ears UE11 Pro (not that you can try them on or anything

But people may want to have a look and I can let them know how they sound out of their equipment)

I think this is a bit extreme, and something we've never worried about in the past. Maybe if you have mysophobia or head-lice you should think twice about attending? A cap won't have much effect with me anyway -- I have so much hair that it won't be enough to avoid contact! I think making sure your hair is washed should be enough.

Does anyone have an SPL meter they could bring? I'm really keen to measure my average listening levels with my IEMs and compare them with recommended listening levels.

P.S. can this be accomplished with just an SPL meter next to a headphone/earphone in the open? Or do you need some fancy set-up to simulate the response of the headphone/earphone when it is on/in your head?

I think the way it works is you put the headphones on like normal, and you stick the SPL meter in your mouth.

(I don't think other orifices work

)

Seriously tho, I have no idea... I'd assume it wouldn't be that simple. Maybe post a thread on one of the main forums about it if you don't get an answer here?

Oh. I thought he was talking capacitors
biggrin.gif
- which also would have been a bit extreme, I admit LOL.

Seriously, though, hair washing, like all regular personal hygiene, is a reasonable expectation for meets. A supply of alcohol swabs (for iem tips) is also handy.
