Hey all,
Have been rolling around on these forums for a while now and never posted, just read up on headphones (And occassionaly mics) but really looking at making my first decent purchase in the coming weeks.
Basically I'm looking for sound (excuse the pun) advice on some good headphones. I've been looking closely at the ATH700mk2 but am wondering if there are any newer/more refined versions than this model.
I listen to hip-hop, ranging from mainly the golden era, a lot of East Coast 90's stuff and some upbeat modern grooves (Blue Scholars, Mod Sun, Brother Ali)
Anyway, I was wondering what the best headphones out there would be sitting around the $300 mark. I would be mainly using for commuting to and from work, and also weekend listening. Bass is a huge must with a fairly decent mid range to pick out the lyrics.
Any expert advice would be much appreciated.
