Seems like a noob thing to do but there are so many choices out there I just can't find what I'm looking for.
 
My preferences:

1. V shaped with a +3-5db subbass bump and a good bass extension. No midbass bloat.
2. Sparkly treble with no hints of sibilance. I'm very sensitive to that.
3. Over the ear design similar to Shure and Westone's
4. ~60-70 degree angle nozzles. 90-degree nozzles just can't seal well in my ear canals.
5. Detachable cables
6. $400 is my mental price barrier but willing to make exceptions for the right product

 
I listen to a diverse set of genres, but mainly EDM, symphonic metal, heavy metal and jazz.
