Best I've tried that I would call ultraportable is the Headstage Arrow.

You may not be looking for a dac as well but the leckerton uha 6 mkii or the pico dac/amp are great all in ones.

Apex Glacier is also an all in one, and really thin (you'll need thin, more than just small, for an ultraportable to pair with a phone)

Otherwise, the Pico Slim, Headstage Arrow or JDS Labs gear as folks have mentioned above. A used TTVJ Slim would be great too, as it's tube like sound would ameliorate some of the digital artifacts present in digitized music. Check out the classifieds as they crop up regularly.

Pico is great - so is AMB's Mini3 - unbeatable in terms of size/performance.
