I bought my pro700mk2s '11 christmas and even purchased the m50 and beyer pads to replace the stock. Still get that discomfort on my ears after about an hour of listening. I would like to find a pair ~$100 so I could save some money. Mainly listen to about 80% electronic, 20% pop-punk, hiphop/rnb, folk. I kind of liked my roommates xb500s as far as comfort and the sq was appreciable.

Try and nab some XB700's.
 
Otherwise, trade in for some DT770 PRO LE 32ohms.
