I had a pair of AKG K450 which I was quite satisfied with, except for the long cable ends. After a couple of months the cable broke and the store was out of new K450's.
Before the K450 I tried K518 LE, which didn't sound so nice, way too much bass, and not good quality of the bass either. They was not comfortable on my head, could wear them for less than an hour. As if it wasn't enough the volume balance was bad out of the box.
After my K450 I also tried the Sennheiser PX200-IIi (the iPhone model), firstly the volume balance was wrong right out of the box, so I have to return them, secondly the sound was extremely dull. The bass wasn't deep and the sound felt very small and cramped.
So now I'm looking for something better, I was thinking somewhere around $150 (or less of course) because I'm tired of returning headphones now. My only reference to the above are my old Philips HP890 which in my opinion sound waay better than all of them.
